I am here because my overriding passion in life is to understand this thing we call life, why we are here to begin with, and how this can help to improve my life and others. To this end I have undertaken a personal spiritually focused study of religion and spirituality, and am currently working on an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies, as well as a minor in Philosophy.


My name and profile address on zaadz are in no way meant as an ego-trip. I firmly believe that we are all lightbringers. We were put here by a higher power to improve life for ourselves and the world in general. Child of Light is another version of that. We are all children of Light, whether you think of it as stardust, or the Christed Light of God, we all have the potential to be as great as the famous masters, Jesus Christ, Gotama Buddha, Gandhi, we only have to accept that potential in us and embrace it.


Jiddu Krishnamurti once said that “truth is a pathless land.” This to me summarises the spiritual quest perfectly. There is no one way to the truth. If there was, we wouldn't have a dozen or more religious faiths, not to mention an unknown number of people who consider themselves spiritual, but practice no traditional religion.


There is a Buddhist story about two monks who are walking along a stream and happen upon a woman who is unable to cross on her own. One of the monks picks the woman up, and they cross. Some time later, the other monk turns to the first and says “Aren't we supposed to stay celibate? Why did you associate yourself with that woman?” The first monk replied “I have already set the woman down on the side of the stream. Why are you still carrying her?”* This story hold an important message for all of us. We can not live in the past. What is past is past, and cannot be changed. Instead, we must live continually in the present.
